Upcoming Discontinuations for the enaio®, Versions 10.10 and Higher

With the release of the enaio® versions 10.10 and higher, the following components will be discontinued:

enaio® appconnector

Type of lifecycle end:	Will no longer be upgraded (maintenance and sales will continue)
Lifecycle ends with release:	Future version after the enaio® version 10.10
Notes:	Discontinued since there is a technical successor. The software was further developed and maintained until version 10.0. As of version 10.0, only the technical successor product will continue to be developed and maintained and the enaio® appconnector will only be maintained; they will not receive new features.
Upgrade recommendation:	The DMS microservice is available as an alternative. Although this currently has a significantly reduced scope in terms of functionality, it does feature a new technology stack: a scalable, cloud-enabled microservice built for large systems. The long-term goal is to let this REST API grow steadily and to align its range of functions with those in enaio® appconnector. enaio® app for Smartphones and Tablets

Type of lifecycle end:	Will no longer be upgraded (maintenance will continue)
Lifecycle ends with release:	Future version after the enaio® version 10.10
Notes:	Will be discontinued since enaio® mobile is available as a replacement for the application. enaio® app was further developed until version 8.50. As of version 9.0, only the successor product will continue to be developed and maintained and only enaio® app will be maintained; they will not receive new features.
Upgrade recommendation:	enaio® mobile for the iOS and Android mobile platforms will be available as an alternative from version 9.0. This provides a much more expansive list of functions than the enaio® app. The only function not available is the offline editing of workflows.

enaio® documentviewer – Image-based content preview

Type of lifecycle end:	Image-based content preview will be removed from enaio® documentviewer
Lifecycle ends with release:	enaio® version 11.0
Notes:	Will be discontinued, as the replacement, the PDF-based content preview (PDF.js), has been integrated and set as the default option since version 9.0. The image-based content preview will remain available as a transitional solution until the lifecycle ends.
Upgrade recommendation:	The image-based content preview will be removed completely and replaced by the PDF preview.
Hotline and support:	Remains in place until the lifecycle end
Bug fixes:	Remains in place until the lifecycle end
Effects in setup:	Remains in place until the lifecycle end
Notes on functionality after lifecycle end:	The image-based content preview will be discontinued upon lifecycle end and will no longer be available with enaio® documentviewer.

enaio® exchange – MAPI interface

Type of lifecycle end:	Will no longer be maintained, upgraded, or sold
Lifecycle ends with release:	enaio® version 11.0
Notes:	Deprecated since version 9.0 SP1
Upgrade recommendation:	Use EWS
Hotline and support:	Remains in place until the lifecycle end
Bug fixes:	Remains in place until the lifecycle end
Effects in setup:	Will be removed from the setup.
Notes on functionality after lifecycle end:	Component no longer available.

enaio® search

Type of lifecycle end:	Will no longer be maintained, upgraded, or sold
Lifecycle ends with release:	enaio® version 10.10
Note:
Upgrade recommendation:	Use enaio® search NG instead
Hotline and support:	Up to and including version 10.0
Bug fixes:	Up to and including version 10.0
Effects in setup:	Component no longer available
Notes on functionality after lifecycle end:

enaio® server-api

Affected functions	STD.PackDirectory, STD.ZipDocument
Type of lifecycle end:	Removing the functions from the API
Lifecycle ends with release:	enaio® version 10.10
Notes:	Discontinued. These are functions for the CAB file format, which can no longer be supported in this way due to file size limitations.
Upgrade recommendation:	Use alternative functions of the operating system to combine document files in an archive, for example.
Hotline and support:	Until version 10.10 is released
Bug fixes:	Until version 10.10 is released
Effects in setup:	Will be removed from the enaio® server-api with version 10.10.
Notes on functionality after lifecycle end:	Code removed with the release of version 10.10.

enaio® webservice

Type of lifecycle end:	Will no longer be maintained, upgraded, or sold
Lifecycle ends with release:	enaio® version 10.10
Notes:	Discontinued since there is a technical successor. The software continued to be maintained until version 10.0. From version 10.10, only the technical successor product will continue to be developed and maintained.
Upgrade recommendation:	Use the DMS service for enaio®. A different access library can also be used as an alternative.
Hotline and support:	Until version 11.0 is released
Bug fixes:	Until version 11.0 is released
Effects in setup:	Will be removed from the setup with version 11.0.
Notes on functionality after lifecycle end:	Code removed with the release of version 11.0.

MSI installer "enaio-webclient-app-x86.msi" for enaio® webclient as desktop application

Type of lifecycle end:	Delivery of the MSI installer "enaio-webclient-app-x86.msi" is discontinued.
Lifecycle ends with release:	enaio® version 10.10
Notes:	With the release of version 10.10, the MSI installer "enaio-webclient-app-x86.msi" will no longer be available (32-bit desktop application).
Upgrade recommendation:	The MSI installer "enaio-webclient-app-x64.msi" will still be available for installing the desktop application of enaio® webclient (64-bit desktop application).
Hotline and support:	Remains in place until the lifecycle end.
Bug fixes:	Remains in place until the lifecycle end.
Effects in setup:	Remains in place until the lifecycle end.
Notes on functionality after lifecycle end:	With the release of version 10.10, the MSI installer "enaio-webclient-app-x86.msi" will no longer be available.

Navigation

Navigate through the help pages using the table of contents on the left. If it is not displayed when the window width is small, you can temporarily show it via the hamburger menu on the right.

Use the arrows on the toolbar to navigate to the next/previous page.

You can show hidden areas. Use the toolbar to show all hidden areas at once:

Clicking the product icon in the header returns you to the beginning of the current area. Use the toolbar to access the initial page:

Full-text Search

The search does not feature case sensitivity. A search term is also found as part of a string. Multiple search terms in the exact order as entered will be found if they are enclosed in quotation marks (").

Boolean
Operators

You can use the following Boolean operators:

AND

Finds the pages that contain all search terms.

Spaces, '+', and '&' function the same.

OR

Finds the pages that contain at least one of the search terms.

The pipe character (|) functions the same.

You can combine search terms and Boolean operators using parentheses.

Example: Paul AND (Peter OR Meyer)

The current portal area is used for the search. You can use Google to search through all portal areas.
