Content Preview

The content preview shows the content of documents in a preview area. Mark a document in an object list (hit list, folder view, or inbox, for example) and click or tap the Content preview icon in the preview area to display the document content. The document content will be shown until a different object is selected.

The preview area is located to the right of the workspace in enaio® webclient and in the desktop application of enaio® webclient (see User Interface).

In enaio® mobile, open the preview area by

tapping on a document in an object list (e.g., in a hit list, at a filing location, in the favorites area) (single touch).
selecting an object (for example, folders, registers, and documents) from an object list and clicking the Show object function in the context menu.

The preview area will then move on top of the workspace.

In the case of documents with multiple variants, the preview of the active variant is always shown. This is also the case if a document with multiple locations points to an inactive variant.

The content preview will not show anything for registers, folders, and documents without pages.

Text documents can be searched. Click or tap on a hyperlink in the preview to open or import web pages, file paths, and e-mail addresses. In the case of hyperlinks with file paths, the path is copied to the Windows clipboard. Text passages can be marked in the preview and also copied to the Windows clipboard (not supported in enaio® mobile).

Functions to search, zoom in/out, and add preview annotations (see Preview Annotations) can be found in the vertical menu bar. In the case of e-mail attachments, additional icons appear in the vertical menu bar that can also be used to view and search attachments.

The following additional functions are available in the content preview:

Icon	Function	Description
	Browse	Opens a search input field to browse the document shown in the preview. Hits are marked in the content preview.
	Reload preview	Refreshes the content preview.
	Page preview	Opens a preview of the pages of the document shown in the preview.
	Zoom out	Reduces the zoom factor of the shown document.
	Zoom in	Increases the zoom factor of the shown document.
	Rotate clockwise	Rotates the content preview 90° to the right. The orientation of the original document remains unchanged.
	Rotate counterclockwise	Rotates the content preview 90° to the left. The orientation of the original document remains unchanged.
	Preview Annotations	Lets you create, show, and hide preview annotations, as well as export the displayed document as a PDF. You need the respective rights to export the displayed document as a PDF (see Preview Annotations). Preview annotations are shown in object lists in the Preview annotations static column. Preview annotations are not supported in enaio® mobile.
	Attachments	Opens an e-mail attachment. The icon only appears if the displayed e-mail contains attachments.
	Back to e-mail	Jumps back from an attachment preview to the e-mail preview. The icon only appears if an attachment preview is open.
	Print	If you press Ctrl+P, the document shown in the content preview will be transferred as a PDF to the opened Windows print menu.
	Copy	If you select text passages in the content preview, you can copy them to the Windows clipboard and insert them into documents or applications by pressing Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V. Formatting can be lost when inserting passages.
